- We had a great day Sunday. Joe and Joe did the worship. I thought they did great. Shared some new songs that really emphasized the cross and the love of God. It was very good.
- Great attendance and great offering even with it being the last weekend of our winter break.
- My wife was unable to attend. Her back is giving her problems again. Please pray for her.
- Presented our plans for the next couple of months. I challenged the church to step it up in leadership and followership (I think I made this word up). I personally need to step it up as the leader and I wanted the church to be ready to follow (not blindly but confidently). I also challenged us to step it up in giving and prayer. We need to be outrageously generous and our prayers need to be big. Small prayers yield small results. When you pray small, you often can't tell if God answered or things just worked out. But BIG prayers have unbelievable answers that can only be attributed to God.
- I also challenged us to step it up in the fight. We are tackling injustice in this world evidenced in the sex trafficking of young children and the enslavement of millions around the world. We set a goal of over $3000 so that we can help those who are engaging this battle. I will tell more about this later but I am pumped up about joining this fight.
- I watched the Oscars but I am not sure why. I haven't seen any of the movies that were up for best picture. The Oscar's are never about movies that people actually watch. I would give Oscars to Bourne Ultimatum for best picture, Johnny Depp and Keira Knightly in Pirates of the Caribbean for best actors, Optimus Prime of Transformers for best robot in a movie, Spiderman for best action hero, Shrek the Third for best movie featuring a donkey and Evan Almighty for best Christian theme.
- Had to get my mind around getting up for work. It's time to get back on the bus.
