it sounded to me that he was praying..."Lord, please bless our agenda" rather than "Lord, please show us Your will". It was all about what we want rather than what He wants. Really sad and off base.
Dear shirleybgood, Thanks for responding. I think you bring up a great point. God has opened such a wide door into His throne room and given us the freedom and permission to simply ask for whatever we want that we can forget that we are praying in Jesus' name and that our "agenda" must yield to His will. But I also think that many of the things Don requested in his prayer are dear to the heart of God (issues of injustice, caring for the poor,etc.)
